Klenteng Sam Po Kong is a shrine located at the southwest of Semarang, at the Simongan Area. This pagoda marks the place where an Islamic Chinese Admiral, Sheng He/Cheng Ho, once made a landing in Semarang. The story went that although the Admiral continued his journey onwards, many of his men actually stayed behind in Semarang, and the Admiral himself tought many locals on the ways of agriculture and Islamic religion
